FAQ – The Fire Stopping Inspection Course
The course is available to anyone who wishes to have a greater knowledge of fire stopping, linear gap seals and cavity barriers.

The fire stopping inspection online course provides a comprehensive level of knowledge in fire stopping specification, installation, inspection and maintenance and repair.

Once you’ve passed the final examination you will have an understanding of how fire stopping, linear gap seals and cavity barriers should be installed onsite and methods of inspection to prove this. This will include the issues around them as well as the standards and regulations that must be adhered to when undertaking repairs, maintenance and installation works.

Gaining the fire stopping inspection course will give you the competence to be able to understand the theory of inspection and understand the standards and regulations surrounding them.

Once you have achieved the fire stopping inspection course your competency does not stop there as the next step in your qualification is to become a certificated fire stopping inspector under the fire protection inspection training scheme.

The Fire Stopping Inspection Course is accredited by the Institute of Fire Safety Managers, recognised by the Institution of Fire Engineers and holds 24 CPD hours.
