This course is available to anyone who wishes to gain foundational knowledge of fire-rated ductwork and damper installations.

Description

The Introduction to Fire-Rated Ductwork and Dampers Course provides an introductory level of training, covering the installation, maintenance and repair of fire-rated ductwork and dampers. The course details information on the building regulations and associated legislation specific to fire-rated ductwork and dampers.

Upon passing the final examination, candidates will have an understanding of how fire-rated ductwork and dampers should be installed onsite and the methods of maintenance and repair. This will include the issues around them as well as the standards and regulations that must be adhered to when undertaking repairs, maintenance, and installation works.

Completing the Introduction to Fire-Rated Ductwork and Dampers Course will provide the competence to be able to understand fire-rated ductwork and dampers, and understand the standards and regulations surrounding them.

Candidates have two attempts at each assessment module in order to pass and progress through the course.

The Introduction to Fire-Rated Ductwork and Dampers Course holds 8 CPD hours, which were awarded by the Institution of Fire Engineers.

This course is recognised by the Institution of Fire Engineers.

This course is accredited by the Institute of Fire Safety Managers.
